Asalamu Alaikum Warahmatulahi Wabarakatu
Dear AHC Academy Families,
On behalf of the teachers and staff at the Abu Huraira Center Academy, we welcome you all to the 2021/2022 school year. We are eager to begin this new journey with you all, and look forward to meeting our new and returning students, parents, guardians, and community members, inshallah!
We remain steadfast in our continued obligation to provide academic excellence, school safety, and an inclusive environment. We would like to take this time to assure parents and guardians that we are dedicated to making this upcoming school year a normal, safe, and productive one with the help of Allah (swt). Our teachers and staff have been hard at work preparing to transition back to in-person learning.
It was narrated on the authority of Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet used to say:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبَرَصِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَمِنْ سَيِّئِ الأَسْقَامِ
(O Allah! I seek refuge in You from vitiligo, madness, leprosy and evil diseases).”

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Abu Huraira Center Academy has laid out a reopening plan for the 2021/2022 school year. Our goal is to maintain the same quality of education, while at the same time creating a safe environment for our students and staff. We are closely monitoring the ever-changing school re-entry plan that is being released by the Ontario Ministry of Education. We will adjust our plans in order to abide by the ministry guidelines, and to also respond to any new risk as it emerges. We encourage all parents and guardians to review this handbook along with the back to school plan in its entirety. This handbook will also provide an overall look at the AHC Academy school rules, policies, and guidelines.
As the Abu Huraira Center Academy transitions into the new year, we are excited to offer new some brand new innovative facilities and classrooms to help reflect the growing student population. Moreover, our focus on providing a top notch academic curriculum taught by qualified instructors is key for our students success. Another aspect that sets our school apart is the emphasis on Arabic, Quran, and Islamic studies. Building a strong Islamic foundation is necessary for our children to navigate this world according to guidelines of the Quran and Sunnah.
Our approach here at the AHC Academy consists of three main characteristics; inclusiveness, respect, and honesty. No matter where the students or parents come from or what background they have, everyone should feel welcome and comfortable in the learning environment. Everyone should have mutual respect for one another and feel excited to learn every day. Lastly being open to ask questions, getting help, and making strides towards the path of learning should be welcomed. Leading a school should be about having fun with focus.
On behalf of the Abu Huraira Center Academy I welcome you all and thank you for the continued support. Please feel free to contact us at any time, as communication is a key factor towards our schools success!
